Maybe he pulled it off ebay early. Surely we can't all have missed that item!

I've had items being puled a few times recently from sellers who weren't getting as much for something as they expected (why they didn't just list it at the price he wanted to start with I don't know...)

no, sadly he didn't pull it early. I was watching the auction and planned on waiting to bid towards the end. I went out for the day and forgot all about it. Days later, I'm still pissed at myself.

If you look at the bid history, there were bids up to $300 but the seller cancelled them all.

I assume it was not fetching as much as they had hoped so started over again, not an uncommon practice.

Is there some reason why sellers like that just don't start the listing at a price somewhere near what they want for it?

Does the listing fee get higher, the higher the starting price is? I've only ever sold one thing on ebay and started that at £5, but I don't remember having to pay any more for listing it above 0.99.

I guess they've gotta try and entice bidders in, but surely you'd still get a bidding war even starting a signed Vick at $300
