Lettering on MLB jersey

Are their replica jerseys screen printed like in the NFL? Looking at pictures, they seem to be sewn on.

MLB replicas have sewn letters/numbers/wordmarks.

It also depends on the era of jersey. I know that the Blue Jays (made by Majestic) replicas have gone from being fully embroidered logos (in 2010) to basically the equivalent of a premier / EQT in NFL teams in 2011. I think they made the change for this season, but the replicas look a lot cheaper as a result. I was able to pick up a couple of last season replicas on the cheap, and was amazed at the quality compared to NFL replicas.

Thanks for both answers, I was either gonna get an old style authentic from 2008 or a New replica. I just wanted to know what the quality was like of the replica.

The difference between a modern replica and a double-knit authentic is mostly feel. Double knits are heavier than replicas... they feel more substantial.

As for visual differences, most teams use an off shade of grey and white, whereas replicas are just going to be standard grey/white. Team patches, commemorative patches and the MLB collar patch also are absent on the replica jerseys.

Replicas made prior to 2009 will have single layer numbers/letters on the back, but on the replicas I have seen lately, they have abandoned this practice.

I quite like the Coolbase, but I know some people don't. I think it feels more like the football shirts we are used to in the UK, which is why I like it.
