Taylor died in 2007, the seller is calling it a 2006 jersey but that jersey is a 2008-11 model. It could be a custom jersey, but I doubt that whoever had it made wouldn’t have worn it and left the tag on. It just doesn’t feel right. I’d want to know the history of this jersey before spending that sort of cash.

As always thanks for advice. I'll see if the seller can/will tell me anything more about it. I thought there's at least a chance legit as they're other jerseys look pretty good also. The jersey dream is still a Taylor authentic. From his actual playing era would be ideal but I think I'd be happy with a later Reebok (just not more modern Nike). If you ever come across any legit such jerseys please let me know.

Hi, out of interest from what you can see does the rest of the jersey check out with looking like a legit 2008-2011 custom?

Is there anything else I can ask to verify whether it's a legit 2008-11? Also just thinking, is it not possible Taylor jerseys continued to be made after his death due to popularity/as a tribute?

Just a aside, but thought it may be useful. I have a 2007 (75th anniversary) authentic away/white Skins jersey and the hemtag has NFL PLAYERS close together. The link http://www.nfljerseyfanparadise.net/Hemtags-h6.htm
seems to indicates this may signify a fake but I bought this jersey direct from the Redskins official store so I'm not so sure this is a clear cut tell with the hemtags. (It still has all the original tags attached if any photos are helpful).

The body of the jersey looks ok, there’s no trailing threads in the Reebok logo on the sleeves between the outer and inner elements which is a good sign. It could well be a custom jersey. I always look at the ball shapes in the nfl logos as they are a good tell, a lot of fakes don’t do the ball very well. This one doesn’t look bad.

With your jersey the spacing between the groups is just one tell. You have to look at the other parts of the jersey, collar badge, Reebok logo on the sleeves, any swing tags (a single thread, usually legit, a looped thread, usually fake, jocktag position, etc. One isolated anomaly is usually just a manufacturing error, a load of them = fake.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Reebok didn’t issue jerseys with anniversary patches, so it’s unlikely to be genuine. The jocktag has all the signs of a fake 2007 one.
