Thanks, BF; I like to think that I actually am above what the masses think, in that it's less a precautionary measure and an attempt to build for the future. However, there has to be some measure of precaution for the unknown going into the offseason. It would be foolish if there wasn't, and Jerry Richardson isn't a foolish man.
It's disappointing to see my team with a losing record, but at the same time if it's in an effort to have a better franchise built for the longhaul, then I have no qualms. I mostly wrote that for the fans, as the outcry has been for an explanation (doesn't mean we have to like it). Being a decent man, I would like to think Mr. Richardson will offer as much.
On a side note; no offense to you as a fan of the Bills, but one of your fellow fans had a not-so-intelligent comment to offer Panthers fans: "I bet Panthers fans wish they had CJ Spiller right now instead of Jimmy Clausen." I couldn't resist. I had to respond. "The Panthers have two premier running backs on its roster already who barely see the field. What good is another running back going to do the team? I bet Bills fans wish they had drafted an offensive lineman instead of a running back with their first pick."
Again no offense, and perhaps my response was just as ridiculous, but I had to point out that his comment made no sense.
