Orchard Park, NY – The Buffalo Bills announced today that they will introduce new uniforms for the 2011 National Football League season. The new uniforms will be officially unveiled at a fan appreciation event later this year. 

The new uniforms will incorporate the team’s storied history while keeping the team’s signature charging buffalo logo. The Bills last made a change to their primary uniform prior to the 2002 season.

The Bills will announce specific details regarding the new uniforms and the fan appreciation event later this year, and will defer further comment until that time.  Fans can visit buffalobills.com and register to be on a special priority list to be notified about uniform unveiling event information and updates.

To be honest I like the dark blue, I think it goes well with the red, I suspect they may go back to the lighter blue of the 90's era. I'd like to see the buffalo incorporated onto the sleeves or chest area. I don't think my wife is going to be too happy about it, another round of jersey collecting, my mouth is watering already

I agree, I do like the current blue but I was never a fan of the light blue in there too, especially the piping on the shoulder area. And on the away one, I don't care for the dark blue on the shoulders or the red side panels. If they address those things and keep the same colors, I think it would look great.

These new Bills uniforms are clearly modeled after the later Simpson-era design, including the white helmet, but they’ve been updated to include a tiny amount of navy blue trim.

In my opinion, the navy blue is probably not necessary, but the uniforms do look quite good, and any sort of socks are an upgrade in my book. I wish they would update that darn logo, though. I’ve always preferred the solid red standing buffalo to the blue leaping buffalo, but I don’t think the retro logo works seamlessly with this new set, either. It is what it is. An upgrade, for sure.

I wasn't a huge fan of those uniforms, so this better be better than it sounds. I'm ok with the White helmets, but why are we not going with the throwback uni's for the mainstream if that's the case. I'll have to wait and see what it looks like before passing judgement. But I think uniforms should be progressive and not go back to what had come before.

This is a better representation. It's not official, so could be slightly different, but it looks pretty close to the EA one.

I like the Bills new somewhat "throw-back" fits...the ones they've been using are da s**t, but it's always good to see diversification in the NFL, no doubt. Peace, , 'n' hair grease!!!

I think ya maybe right, the AFC is gonna be even tougher this year and i have a nasty feeling the Fins are gonna struggle big time this year

Love em, really nice blend between modern and retro!

Bills need to change Uni's again ?? and to the old white helmet ,I thought they had things just right ,Red helmets with modern dark blue uniforms with a 3rd choice cool retro white helmet option .
Jets and Dolphins in the same division with white helmets & Pats with Silver,Red made the Bills stand out for me .
From the pics the new Unis are even more similar to the NY Giants jerseys of the 80's & 90's that they tried to get away from with the last uniform design .I guess the powers that be in Buffalo needed to do something to excite the fans ,cause it looks like even though they had a seemingly good draft they wont be challenging for the AFC East for another few seasons.

I hated the 2002 uni's in the beginning, but got used to them as time went on. I love the red helmets and will miss them. The bills changed to red as the fins and jets have White helmets. They have gone back to the 70's for this new uni and I do like it.
