| Here are my Red Sox collectables. Most are from ebay, except the Lowrie gloves which are from MLB auction. All are MLB hologrammed, except the Youkilis ball which was signed at a game when he was with the Spinners; I have the game ticket from the seller, and have verified that Youk played in this game. David Ortiz ball Jonathan Papelbon ball Dustin Pedroia ball JD Drew ball Kevin youkilis ball & game ticket Game used ball, Red Sox v CArdinals, Fenway Park, 2008 Carl Crawford ball Jason Varitek ball Jed Lowrie ball Ellsbury bat, cracked 23 July 2011 in MLB game which batting in Varitek & Scutaro Ellsbury using the bat in the game A few seconds later when he thre the bat down cracked Marco Scutaro bat from his time in the Milwaukee Brewers system | |

| That's a great collection, especially that Ellsbury bat. I'm going to try and get a Red Sox collection going soon. Is there a certain seller on ebay you get your stuff from? | |

| Thanks!
No particular seller, it all came from different people. My only criterion was that the item had to have MLB auth hologram; if it came with anything else I didn't touch it. (I waived this for the Youk ball as it came with the ticket, everything added up, and it was dirt cheap!!!) Some of the balls are imperfect; i.e. they have an oil spot on them or something, so that kept the cost down. If you're prepared to watch & wait you can get stuff at reasonable prices.
Check out http://redsox.auction.mlb.com/ and you can get some good stuff; the shipping costs are high though so probably not worth it for a photo or a ball. Took a while to arrive, too...several weeks. Actually, I got a base off there too, must put up pics!
If you are interested in scorecards, try http://theremyreport.innuity.com/store/index.php3. These are signed by Jerry Remy and are pretty cool; I got one from Lester's no-hitter and one from Wakefield's 200th win. (Must put pics of those up, too.)
Take a look at my other thread on Red Sox MiLB jerseys. If you are interested in these, contact Soxfan213 on ebay and tell him that the lady in Northern Ireland sent you; he has some PawSox, Spinners ones still which he will list if you ask.
Hope this helps!! | |

Cool, A game used bat is the next item I'm looking for. If you ever decide to sell any of your collection let me know, you got some there that I would love to have.

| Sure, I'll keep you in mind! Ebay is a good place, but of course there are lots of fakes! I tend to stick (mostly) to Steiner or MLB auth, just cos I don't know enough about autographs to be sure otherwise. There are plenty of bats on there, I just don't have enough experience to evaluate them!
On ebay.com at the mo, There's a Youk bat item 200295426637 Steiner & MLB auth, $500 or offers. Not bats, but there are a couple of other things on there at the moment you may like: Item 260959767135 Dustin Pedroia Boston Red Sox Signed Fenway Park Game Used Seat back (Steiner auth) and item 270918673905 and Red Sox Dustin Pedroia Auto Inscribed 2007 Game Used 2nd Base Steiner MLB Auth. There's plenty if you go on ebay.com and put in 'red sox game used' but some is obviously VERY expensive.
MLB Auction has LOADS of cool stuff, BUT the shipping is slow & v expensive in my experience. (They need to take lessons off NFL Auction!!) There is a Will Middlebrooks bat used in the futures game on there at the moment.
Just Minors has good stuff, and seems to be well-respected from what I can gather from my research on forums, etc. Seems to be the minor-league equivalent of MLB Authentication. http://www.justminors.com/
You probably know all that anyway, but just thought I'd post it in case any of it is any use!! Best of luck - I look forward to seeing your collection grow!!

Thanks for all that, I saw that Middlebrooks bat the other day and I'm tempted to go for it, I'm also liking that Pedroia signed 2nd base so will likely make a bid.

| Thanks! There are some nameplates from spring training (JetBlue Park) on MLB Auction but it seems they don't send Internationally. You could contact them to double check though, if you are interested. Mind you, hate to think what their postage would be. | |
