Steve McNair found dead.

Former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and a woman were found shot to death Saturday inside a residence in Nashville, police said.

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that authorities were called to a condominium and found McNair and a woman shot to death inside. Aaron said police don't yet know the circumstances of the shootings.

really sad to hear about that mcnair was a brilliant qb who played on through injuries disregarding his own safety he will be missed.

I think it's strange. I'd love to know what went on there.

The medical examiner said McNair was shot multiple times.

A female friend of McNair's, 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, was also found dead in the living room.

She appeared to have a single gunshot wound to the head.

A pistol was recovered close to Kazemi's body.

Autopsies are expected to be conducted Sunday.

Metro police said Kazemi was arrested for DUI at 1:20 a.m. Thursday while driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade registered to both her and McNair.

McNair was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop at 9th Avenue and Broadway but was deemed not to be in violation of the law and left the scene by taxi.

dont want to speculate on why he died, but he was a fantastic QB,Drafted by Houston Oilers in 1995, he transformed them into genuine contenders even when the team relocated to Memphis then Nashville they were always a top team, was in his prime in the late 90's ,took the Titans to they're only superbowl and came damn close to winning it for them, played well through some painfull injuries in his later years (turf toe) ,Had a dissapointing final 2007 season for the Ravens although he did take them to the playoffs the year before and did the right thing to call it a career when he did ,true warrior.

Sahel Kazemi "was spinning out of control" when she shot McNair four times as he dozed on a sofa early Saturday, then turned the gun on herself, Nashville police chief Ronal Serpas said. Interviews with friends revealed that Kazemi was making payments on two cars, her rent was doubling and she suspected the married McNair was having a second affair with another young woman.

Police earlier had labeled McNair's death a homicide, but they waited for further tests and the revelations about Kazemi's personal problems before concluding that she pulled the trigger of a 9mm semiautomatic pistol in a condominium that the retired quarterback rented with a friend.
