New look ebay

Is anyone else finding the new look ebay they've being using for the past week or so really cumbersome when browsing for stuff? I can't quite put my finger on why this is, but part of the reason seems to be everything in the searches seems to be hidden away down the sides.

This is especially bad when I'm searching for footy shirts. I only really collect ones of small teams. In the good old days I'd go "sports memorabilia" -> "overseas clubs" -> "Italian clubs". This would all be on the same page, then after doing this, the pics of the shirts would come onscreen. Once they were there, I'd type something like "-juventus, -milan, -inter" to get rid of all the big teams.

Now as soon as you click "overseas teams", all the overseas shirts come on screen and you have to pick the italian ones of a pop up menu from the side. Then it'll no longer let you omit words without first typing in a keyword, so you have to pick "not specified" from another pop-up menu showing available teams (and i'm sure some shirts I'd be interested in will get missed out by this filter).

ARRGH! Its just such an effort to search now. The new system would probably make it easier for fair weather people after a Man Ure shirt, but for us hardcore jersey collectors it makes everything much harder.

I know what you mean, it's not the most friendly thing. I can't quite put my finger on it, but i don't like it much.

I need to help my dad every two mins why fix it if it aint broke

if you scroll to the bottom off the page after you have entered a search i.e nfl jersey.you can click the opt out of the new system button

i only just noticed this thread otherwise i would have posted it here weeks ago.

Does this mean that if enough people opt out of this new "search experience" they'll get rid of it? It really was getting on my nerves - especially since the old laptop work gave me to use doesn't run javascript properly any more. So the little window things at the side to filter stuff wouldn't open. Meaning I had to trawl through 22 pages of buy-it-now replicas just to see if any decent jerseys had come on ebay.

hopefully enough people will opt out and ebay get the message that the new system is not as good as the old one
