You can get blank team issued jerseys, and people do attribute them with a star player like you said. I don't know what size Ben takes but looking at the size of him, i'd say a 52 was about right. If it was a 48, then I'd worry. Does it come with any paperwork?

There is nothing that makes me feel concerned about it. It doesn't look like it's been game worn, more likely a team issue that he never got round to wearing. The tags look good and I can see the Ripon care tag through the mesh, so it's a genuine jersey. Even if it's a customised blank it's still from the Steelers themselves, it would depend on how much is being asked for it? are you willing to say how much the seller wants?
