| 02-48? Is that supposed to be from the 2002 season? Because I don't think that the Pats wore red jerseys until 2009. | |

| I guess you're right. A quick look at Getty images found that the Pats wore throwbacks for thei Thanksgiving game in 2002. These jerseys were modeled on the 1980s jerseys, and did not have the collar badge. I've seen other Brady team issued jerseys which were size 46, rather than 48. This may still be a customized jersey which was never issued to (or intended for) Brady. | |

| Interesting point on the customisation of jerseys which may mean they are not entirely what they seem!! Never thought of that! Could it really be done so you'd never know? | |

| Iv seen a brady size 54 advertised as game worn for sale, pretty sure hes not that big haha. With a player like tom, people will always try and fake them as demend outweighs supply | |

| Brady was thin out of college. Scouts at the combine didnt recommend him because he was too lanky. Apparently only the 199th best player in the draft, something deffinatly went wrong there . . . | |

| I was under the impression Brady has predominantly worn a 48. He may also have jerseys cut as 46s in the past, but I don't think he ever would have gone any smaller than that (or bigger the other way.)
A lot of collectors have different views on customising team blank pro cut jerseys. I have never seen a fake one. The worst you can expect is people customising a legit jersey, and then passing off as something it's not. I have seen example of someone buying a game worn jersey (which had team certification - but no specific player name), changing the name / number and trying to pass it off as a game worn Manning Colts - there is clearly a big problem with this, as it's fraud.
I don't have a problem with people buying blank pro cuts, having names / numbers added and NOT trying to pass it off for anything more than it is - as long as they're open and honest about it, since the value will obviously be lower. If they're done properly (albeit sizes / specs may be inaccurate) they still make great collector's pieces, and look good gramed / mounted etc.

Yes. Customization is common enough. There's nothing wrong with is in most instances. Anyone who tries to do it will either take it to a professional sports lettering company)... but when someone tries to pass it off as a "team issued jersey" for $1000s for dollars it's fraud.
