1995? Jerry Rice SF 49ers white jersey

I have a feeling this was a custom job, as from what i know 90's Reeboks had the year they were manufactured on the jocktag, except 1995. In 1995 though, the 49ers authentics were made by wilson/staff and didn't have the gold shadowing. In 96 and 97 they had gold shadowed name and number, until 98 when only the numbers were gold shadowed. Anyhow, heres my new pick up (which i may be selling anyway haha)

I think it must be a custom, might even be a team issue with a later nameplate. I take it there was no paperwork with it?

No i brought it off eBay, they guy wasn't sure what it was either. Its a really long jersey for a 40 inch chest. Its the jock tag thats throwing me, I'm going to try and hunt down some 1996-1998 team issued jerseys and see what they look like because the retail authentics I've seen have the year on them

Just found this one, seems to match the one i have. Guess its just a standard authentic. I think i'm going to move it on to a better home, i need space for new Nike jerseys

Yeah that's a retail authentic jersey. I believe that style was from 1999.

Adidas did the authentics in 99. A guy over on JC thinks its a retail authentic from late 1996. I didnt realise but the numbers on the chest and the back are 96 font and the shoulders are 97 font. Apparently thats just the way they made them that year
