Here is a great place to post your jersey for sale or trade or to look for one to pickup. It's in it's infancy at the moment but the more people who find it the more choice there will be. Unlike ebay there's no listing fee and they only take a miserly 5% fee from the final selling price. One to add to your bookmarks!

Beware that although sellmyjersey.com is directing people to NJFP for education purposes and they discourage the sale of fakes, counterfeit jerseys are offered for sale by some members on the site. Use your knowledge and experience to avoid these sellers as you do on eBay etc.

Early stages but very promising indeed.

Almost everything on this site is fake. That's a shame.

Something they need to get on top of very quickly I think. I myself am working very closely with trading standards to deal with sellers of fakes.. so platforms allowing this need to deal with it or lose standing and trust. If they have no way of dealing with it themselves, it is either poor planning, or naivety, I certainly hope its not the potential third option... so I wont even mention it. Time will tell.

They are small, with few staff. I have made my opinions known to them.

I get that they only have a few staff members but the same fake jerseys have been posted since the site opened. It doesn't really look like they care about what is being sold.

They do care, but they have gone down the education route. They are hoping that buyers will educate themselves and not buy the fakes. I'd prefer a more robust policing style personally.

The only thing I'm worried about here is that we're sending people to the site from here.

I hear ya. I'm going to have to reevaluate this I think.

They should just allow us to moderate/flag listings so they can remove them. The site will never be successful if it's not moderated.

To me... that sounds like the cop out route.....!  

Well, a year later and the counterfeits are all still there. What a shame.

I am still actively working with these guys with cost effective ways to identify the fakes on their site. The good thing is that they are committed to the cause. Once we have determined the best way forward we will hopefully be able to involve you guys a lot more. Watch this space.
