SUPERBOWL XLIII Empty
PostSubject: SUPERBOWL XLIII   SUPERBOWL XLIII EmptySat Jan 31 2009, 20:01

After i finish this post im gonna go watch the superbowl preview i recorded earlier on sky sports !

Tomorrow i will wake up read half of my SB43 programme go to football go to the shops (Buy the Observer as they have a good read on the Superbowl) stock up on snacks and goodies then read the rest of the SB43 programme , play a few games of madden post a bit more on here and NFLUK then WAHLAHHH "live from tampa bay florida"

The steelers were one of 4 teams i predicted to a friend to get to the superbowl before the season started it was out of redskins , saint , bucs , steelers .

I will be rooting for the Cards , i like Big Ben and a little bit of Polamalu but i despise the steelers organisation , Will be such a great achievement for Ken Whisenhunt and the Cards to go and win it , i know alot of people will have Steelers as favourite but before you go to the bookies how many people had patriots as favourite last year and well you know what happened albino . I think the opening play for the Cards is extremely important i would prefer it if the Cards kicked off first because i wanna see Big Ben under pressure and throwing a INT now that would be sweet afro

MVP: Edgerrin James !

Cards 27-21 Steelers

I actually despise the Steelers but hey you gotta give credit to them for there drive and a good santonio holmes TD , was kinda embarassing to see that 3 cardinals were around him im not sure who the guy is but #20 for the cards saw the play happening and stayed where he was and jumped for it he should of took a step or two back to cover holmes and tip it away but oh well.

I thought Bruce Springstein had a awesome half time show well done BOSS , was a bit gutted he didnt play born in the USA

Another fantastic superbowl. God I feel sorry for the Cards. I woke my missus up shouting, when they took the lead and she actually stayed up to watch the end. I was disappointed that the Cards defence, who had played really well, sat back in a prevent defence and allowed the Steelers to score. It would have been great to have seen the fairytale end for the Cards, still can't really call them the Crads anymore Laughing

I managed to go all day yesterday without finding out the score so i could watch it and enjoy last night. And i thought it was an enjoyable game, i really wanted the Cards to win but they gave it away in the end.

Oh it is amazing... absolutely crazy.

As most of the 200 people at the party were routing for the Cardsm there was about 25 strong supporting the steelers... No joke, we out sung them the whole night long.

Snow fight at half time, it really was like being in Pittsburgh.

But now, i really must grow my Steelers collection (anything with half as much as you have Bills things would be amazing Billsfan)!

No its an awesome collection, really jealous (And I have nothing against the Bills in any way so its all good). Have always browsed on here just to look at collections like that!

My collection is limited to my own game worn jerseys lol! from University football and a signed football/steelers jersey from a great friend and amazing QB I played for, who was from Pittsburg at Uni! That all has alot of person meaning tho, so thats all good!!

Arrrggghhh, 320337874526 on ebay.com... they making some fakes look alot better than some of the tat on UK ebay!

what's people's opinions on some of the calls made during the game? i especially thought the "roughing the holder" was a bad call, how the hell could they call that when the guy was so off balance he couldn't stop.
Also why wasn't the steelers player ejected for holding a guy down then punching him in the back then pushing him over as he went to get up?

Yeah they were two bad calls , also the Holmes celebration with the ball using it as a salt shaker he should have been penalized for using the ball as a prop

Ditto, I hate these types of jersey. It's ok on a T-Shirt but not a jersey
