firstly nice Website Catsfan
I think your being a little bit harsh on Pepper Bear
"Week 17 against a New Orleans team of reserve players, and a non-primetime game, Pep chillaxed." if there was ever a game were you wouldnt mind your players relaxing a little it's a final season game with nothing to play for against a team resting its starters ( by the way the Panthers still won that game and Peppers had a Int to ice the game in the 4th qtr)
Sure im excited that The Bears could add one of the best pass rushers and they might over pay for him but he's the premium free agent this year .
The Bears wont be paying big money to rookies this year because we wont have any, so money should be available for some top rated free agent talent .
Kampman is a stud who would also be a great pick up, its always good to take a top player from a division rival, but he had a serious knee injury last year and would be a risky addition to any team.
Peppers takes games off ,but so do 90% of the top players in the NFL ,Randy Moss being one of the elite names thats been mentioned quite a lot this year but who wouldnt be delighted having him in your team. Peppers would be a great fit with the Bears as he would be with a lot of teams but with our needs and low draft picks I think Peppers addition with the return of Brian Urlacher could radically change the Bears D in 2010.
If he comes theres no doubt in my mind Chicago would have the best front four in the NFL ,Peppers ,Harris,Brown ,Andersen
not a bad way to end his career with Carolina but its time for the big time in Chi town
