| Hi all,
Ive got the oportunity to buy a marino starter jersey, brand new with tags. its going to cost about £130 including shipping but minus hit on door.
Just wondered if you guys thought this is a bit steep?.
I'm in 2 minds cause its a classic jersey of a legend but its a little more than i was hoping to pay.
Cheers

| Hi Simon
Not sure if this will slightly scupper your plans... but....
I think I am going to be getting a Dolphins Dan Marino Throwback in Medium in the next few weeks.
Price will be £79.99 unless I can knock him down a bit in the meantime.

| Sorry Matt, I'm not paticularly fussed about the reebok throwbacks. If im going to go for a throwback i'd rather go for a starter or M@N
Cheers anyhow

| No problem. Thought I'd give you 1st refusal anyway. I'll go in the store on arrival. | |

| Personally, I'd say that was too high for a Starter jersey, but anything is worth what you can get for it. Who is the seller? | |

| The seller is a guy on jersey central called chungy. He's offering the jersey $145 with free US shipping. I asked if he would consider the same price with free international shipping. best he could offer was $20 shipping but this is uninsured, im gessing i'd be looking at a further $10-$15 for insurance. this is the jersey | |

| Ah dollars, you had pounds in the original post. That's still over £85 though. I suppose with insurance etc you be up there. Nice piece, you probably won't find another. It's from 1998 the year before Marino's last season. Shame about the cuffed sleeves though. Marino always had open sleeves, but that's retail for you.
Simon, ask yourself is it worth it to you. If it is then buy it. | |
