Jason taylor traded.

The Dolphins traded Jason Taylor to the Redskins, following a disastrous first day of training camp for the Skins, defensive end Phillip Daniels tore a left knee ligament Sunday during the very first practice and will miss the season.
The Redskins also lost another defensive end, reserve Alex Buzbee, to a season-ending injury during their afternoon practice. Buzbee ruptured his Achilles' tendon.

The Redskins gave the Dolphins a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-round choice in 2010 for Taylor, who is leaving the only NFL team he's known.

Shame to see another veteran of the roster missing this year but I think we could all see it coming eventually. The Fins are building from the ground up this season and are certainly in the position not to be too worried about doing so (they could hardly get any worse)

I think the Skins got themselves a bit of a bargain there.

Not in the slightest did we get a bargain if anything we bloody overpaid, He wanted out of Miami and they were always looking to trade him we should have given them a 3rd and nothing more

With Daniels out for the season and no one of any note in free agency, I thought it would be a good pickup. Taylors got a couple of good years left in him. Your probably right and the Skins gave away a bit too much but I don't think they'll regret it.

I hope you're right but i just cant see it, he is 34 and would have to play at Pro-Bowl level to justify a 2nd round pick. I personally would have preferred us giving Chris Wilson a chance and bringing in someone else to back him up
