Real Vs Fake - 2012 Nike Elite Jersey Comparison

UPDATE: ToonJersey is sticking to their guns, and says they ship USPS all the time so that apparently makes it legal to them. I told her that it doesn't make it legal per US Postal Code 136.3, but she didn't seem to understand this concept.

Anyway, I filed a complaint with the FTC. Additionally I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Wells Fargo required that I take the jersey to a neutral 3rd party expert, so I called up the local Broncos Store at Invesco Field. A manager was nice enough to verify what we already knew, see below. Anyway, I have proven and documented it is counterfeit, and also proven it is illegal to export counterfeit goods. Seems like game, set, and match against ToonJersey but we shall see.

Quick search online, and it should apply to the UK as well. Alright..... Time to wrap up my story of the fake Manning Jersey. As you know I had to jump through some hoops with my credit card company, get a professional opinion, and report all of this back to Wells Fargo. I had to wait 60 days to give the crooks at Toonjersey a chance to respond.

Not surprisingly, ToonJersey DID NOT RESPOND and I received a FULL REFUND. There you have it. It wasn't "easy", but at the end of the day I was right and got a free jersey (which I gave to my brother who doesn't know shit about jerseys).

On a side note it was interesting having a customer service issue with the Chinese. I honestly don't think they have any respect what so ever for our laws. I assume they care about their own laws because they will get drug out to the street at dawn and executed in front of their family <joke>. But when it comes to USA laws, they don't give a shit and have no respect for us. They will look you straight in the eyes and rip you off, NEVER admit it, and have no remorse. I do international export for a living, and know you have play by the rules, or you can get burnt. As a businessman, I can't imagine trying to skirt the law as an every day business practice, but that seems to be the Chinese way. Sad. Oh well, you break the rules, you lose in the end!

It appears that the fakes have gotten better in the last couple of months, as i got one from an ebay seller promising me that these are genuine Nike Jerseys. here are a few pictures of the the one that i got. few things to notice on this particular Jersey.

In the lettering, the "n" and "I" are incorrect, and the "IN" isnt perfectly aligned


the NFL logo in the neck is the correct Rubber one


the rest of the images show that they have gotten better as far as making them look closer to the original, except the inside stitching is still low grade

Yeah man thats a horrible fake. When it comes to the nike elite's i refuse to buy one unless i get pictures of the jocktag, nfl shield, nike sleeve logo and the neck tag.

The nfl shield on your manning has terrible stitching typical of a fake. The necktag is incorrect as well. The jocktag on the real elite is expensive to replicate so they are usually a dead giveaway for a fake, and the nike sleeve logo looks almost like a patch as opposed to just being stitched on.

Either way, you should be covered under ebay buyer protection.

No, read the thread. He bought a real and fake elite to do a comparison. Then tried to return the fake one.

oh ok i see that now i iguess as i got further down the line I forgot about the initial post or didnt realize it was just for a comparison because i was noticing all the part where he was trying to go by USPS code and then the credit card thing ...... dont get me wrong not that I care about the jersey makers other than to get my jerseys. but my bad ill bite the bullet on this one.
