football fanatics order

Hi guys
Just after a bit of info really. I placed an order totaling $175 for some Jerseys to be shipped to the UK. They arrived today, and i wasnt home, Mum ended up dishing out £73! Now even with a VAT charge,i estimated i should only pay around £30. I've contacted Fanatics and they and looking into it.had any one else been stung like this?

Oh yeah, customs will charge duty on anything over £36 and then the post office charge you for clearing it with customs. I once had to pay more than I paid for the jersey when the seller didn't put a decimal point in the value box.

Did you? That's shocking.the thing is, this has come via stones sloping company in Germany, doesn't seem to have had any direct dealings with our post office, when i went in their website,i couldn't find a number to call.so I'm guessing there's not much point in holding my breath and thinking that Fanatics will waive this charge?

I Placed an order with football fanatics for a Tannehill limited jersey, cap and t-shirt. My order came to around the same price as yours and my customs fees were only about £30 so yep I'm inclined to think you were overcharged. My parcel also came through a German company...took a lot longer than the advertised 5-10 days too.
