The Cleveland Browns are looking into possible major changes to their uniform for the 2015 season but they are making one adjustment for this year.
According to Tony Grossi of ESPNCleveland.com, the “AL” patch worn by the Cleveland Browns since 2002 will no longer be a part of the team’s uniforms, beginning this season.
The patch on their sleeve was to honor former team owner Al Lerner after his death in October 2002.
Lerner was responsible for bringing the Browns back to Cleveland as an expansion franchise in 1999. With Jimmy Haslam purchasing the team from the Lerner family last season, he had agreed to keep the patch on the uniforms for the remainder of the year.
