Captain Patches

Billsfan can you shed some light on these patches i understand they mean C for captain , but why do some players have 1 , 2 or 3 stars in gold and some have the square border in gold too ?

A player receives a gold star for each year he is a team captain


Guess that solves it

also they aren't compulsory, which looks odd to me

No player should have 3 stars, as a star is rewarded for every year as a captain. This scheme has been in action for just two years. Next year you will see players with three stars.

Kizz and Bomber are way too fast for me.
For us collectors it's good to know that these patches are not available to the public, any jersey with them on shouldn't have them. They would most likely be a fake, the patch certainly would. As far as I can work out there are no plans to release these. Personally I don't like them at all. Makes the palyers look like they work in McDonalds!
